The Decoy Lodge is a family-owned cabin located in the heart of the Minnesota Northwoods. The beautiful lakes and abundant outdoor activities have long been an attraction for our family, which have been visiting the area for more than 75 years. We frequently stay at the cabin and continue to update and upgrade furniture and furnishings to make your experience an outstanding one. Why is it called the Decoy Lodge?
Our family has a long history of collecting decoys. It started more than 50 years ago with our father's fascination with this beautiful American folk art. A few of the decoys in the cabin were carved by him. Parts of our collection are featured throughout the cabin, most notably in the vaulted windows and along the top of the kitchen cabinets. Along with the duck decoys and fishing lures, our family has collected antiques and vintage-inspired pieces and have fun decorating the cabin with many of these items. We hope you enjoy the decor and the nostalgia it evokes.

Those little touches make a difference, and The Decoy Lodge has them in abundance. The Decoy Lodge is a four-season rental cabin located within the Bluewater Lodge resort complex. The cabin is fully furnished and equipped to make your stay cozy and comfortable. It features central air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and NEST thermostat for the perfect climate-controlled setting or turn on the ceiling fans and open the double sliding doors and let in the lake breeze! The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably and features a master bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom on the 1st floor. The second-floor loft features two queen beds and full bath with outstanding lake views in two different directions.
Included with your rental is parking for two cars, one dedicated boat slip with shore power, use of the Bluewater Lodge boat launch, fish cleaning house, two fire pits, and beaches with chaise lounge chairs. Check out a few of the unique features of our little cabin below.
