On the Water

Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall, Leech Lake has it all!  The Decoy Lodge is situated on the South Walker Bay area of the lake, with easy access to great fishing spots, a quick trip to Shingobee Island or nice ride to the City Docks in town.  Whether you are there to fish, cruise, or float, the Decoy Lodge is only a few steps from the water.

Fishing

Whether you're searching for that prize Walleye or Muskie, Leech Lake is your fishing spot.  The lake and boat slips are only steps away from the Decoy Lodge, so you can be on the fish in no time!  Interested in a guided fishing experience?  Reach out to our friends at the Leech Lake Guide Team.

Boating

The Bluewater Lodge docks are conveniently located just steps away from the cabin.  Each cabin has its own dedicated boat slip and shore power, the Decoy Lodge is slip #106.  Not bringing your boat?  We can recommend a few places to rent watercraft:

Sailing

Looking for a unique experience on the water?  Go for a sail on Leech Lake's largest sailboat, the Notta Lotta.  She's a 45 foot Irwin Ketch (Two masts) and ideal for 2-6 people.  Our friend Captain Bruce offers a variety of sailing options on the lake.  Contact him directly at Sailing Daze.

Ice Fishing

...and let's not forget winter on the lake!  Ice Fishing is a popular past time on Leech Lake.  With the lake typically freezing by December, there are several good months of ice fishing.  Our friends at J&K Marine have Yetti fish houses available for rent on South Walker Bay, usually just off Allen's point.
